The Autel Robotics EVO Lite stands out as a premium camera drone built for creators who demand professional-grade aerial imagery without the complexity of a bulky rig. At its core is a 1-inch CMOS sensor capable of capturing 6K video and 20-megapixel stills, delivering the kind of dynamic range and low-light performance that separates hobbyist footage from cinematic work. The adjustable aperture, ranging from f/2.8 to f/11, gives pilots creative control over depth of field and exposure that few consumer drones offer, making the EVO Lite a favorite among videographers, real estate photographers, and outdoor content creators who need reliability in shifting light conditions. Beyond the camera, the EVO Lite is engineered for smooth, stable flight and extended time in the air. Its foldable design keeps the drone compact and travel-friendly, while a flight time of up to 40 minutes on a single battery charge allows for longer shoots without constant swapping and recharging. Autel's SkyLink transmission system provides a strong, low-latency connection with a range that lets pilots push their compositions further from the controller while maintaining crisp live video feedback. Obstacle avoidance sensors on multiple sides add a layer of confidence for pilots navigating tighter spaces, trees, or complex urban environments, reducing the risk of costly crashes during ambitious shots. Autel also equips the EVO Lite with intelligent flight modes that simplify advanced maneuvers, including dynamic track for subject-following shots, orbit modes for smooth circular reveals, and various quickshot presets that automate cinematic movements with a single tap. The companion app offers straightforward access to these features, along with manual controls for pilots who prefer full command over their flight paths and camera settings. Combined with a sturdy build quality and Autel's reputation for durable, weather-resistant components, the EVO Lite positions itself as a serious contender in the camera drone space, appealing to both semi-professional creators and enthusiasts looking to elevate their aerial photography and videography without stepping into an overly complicated or expensive system.
Customer reviews
The 6K camera on this drone is stunning, especially in low light thanks to the Moonlight Algorithm. Battery life is also impressiveβI regularly get close to 35 minutes per charge.
Flight performance and camera quality are top-notch, but the Autel Sky app occasionally lags behind DJI's ecosystem in terms of features and updates.
I switched from a DJI Air 2S and I'm happy with the EVO Lite. Obstacle avoidance works well in most situations, though I wish it had side sensors.
Lightweight, foldable, and the video quality is incredible for its size. The long flight time means I don't have to carry as many spare batteries.
